In the last Blog, we have seen about how the company goes through the scrutiny of SEBI and how they can able to raise funds from the primary market with the help of a banker. While applying for IPO we need to consider all the aspects mentioned in “Draft Red hearing prospects “so that we can able to understand the business model of that company with future projection to invest in that company for the long term. consider if you got allotted a share in your portfolio you will get notified by your broker and if you applied individually then you will get notify with a text message on your registered mobile number or you check it online on company’s website once you get conformation you need to check the actual share available on DMAT account.

Once the company completes allotment then they declare the listing date on NSE and BSE or maybe on a specific exchange.  in previous days listing used to be at 9.00 am but nowadays this time has shifted to the 10.00 am. in this listing process share will inter from primary market to secondary market. list price will also have a pre-open session then exactly at 10.00 am trading will get started in the secondary market.

Many of us are only interested in listing the gain of the stock in the stock market. if the stock price is showing outperformance on a listing day it’s better to book profit on the same day because profit booking can impact the listing gain. Sometimes depending upon market conditions stock can be get listed less than the IPO price band. once stock entered the secondary market then anyone can buy or sell stock in a free market with help of a broker for intraday trading. afterward, the company has to submit the audited document to SEBI about everything for investors' safety. After listing of IPO companies can outperform or Underperform depending upon the mood of the market but always have to track this mood and need to choose a good exit OR entry point
